LUNs shows with different LUN id on host

Hi,

I have a problem with LUNs id. I have two ESXi host which sharing 3 Luns (shows on both host). In Host 1 the LUNs number show with LUN ID LUN 5,LUN6, LUN7.

On host 2 these LUNs shows with LUN Id LUN 8, LUN9, LUN 10.

Both LUNs identifier are same on both Host.

These are the confgiuration

At Host 1

Last 5 digits of Identifier               Runtime Name               LUN

13935                                        vmhba2:c0:To:L5               5

14145                                        vmhba2:c0:To:L6               6

14337                                        vmhba2:c0:To:L7               7

At Host 2

Last 5 digits of Identifier               Runtime Name               LUN

13935                                        vmhba2:c0:To:L8               8

14145                                        vmhba2:c0:To:L9               9

14337                                        vmhba2:c0:To:L10            10

Hi

If you do not specify a specific LUN ID when presenting a LUN to a host, the host will choose the first available LUN ID.

For consistency the LUN IDs on all datastores needs to be the same across hosts.

You could unpresent the LUNs from host 1 and change the LUN IDs as you present them again to match host 2 LUN IDs
