Is is safe to delete *.vmsn files after VDR backup error?

Hi

I have a problem with one VM and VDR. VM cannot get backuped succesfully and in VM datastore I got a lot of snapshot definition files with *.vmsn extensions.

Can I delete those file without any risk of "destroying" VM?

Thank you.

You can try creating a new snap for the VM (do not snapshot the virtual machines memory) then in snapshot manager, select the snap and choose delete all.  This should roll all the leftover snaps into one and properly delete them.

It's strange... usually VDR will clean old snap file.

Are you using the latest version (VDR 1.2.1)?
