Is VDP bundled in vSphere 5?

I have vSphere 5 standard license. Does VDP come bundled with it or do I need to buy a separate license for it?

We are migrating vCenter from 4.1 to 5.5. As 5.5 does not support VDR, I am planning to use VDP. However some of our hosts will be on 4.1 and some will be on 5.5. Does VDP support 4.1?

VDP is included with vSphere Essentials Plus or higher, see: https://kb.vmware.com/selfservice/microsites/search.do?language=en_US&cmd=displayKC&externalId=20165...

And for VDP compatibility with vSphere 4.1, see: VMware Product Interoperability Matrixes

Thanks Richardson.

However please check the link:

As per this link, data protection is included in vSphere standard. Am I missing something here?

When I say Essentials Plus and higher, this include Standard edition, since Standard is a higher editions than the Essentials Plus.

Thanks!

I have vSphere 5.5 installation media but it does not have option to install VDP. Where do I get the VDP ova for vSphere 5.5? Sorry if this is a stupid question, but I am new to this world and trying to learn!
