Hi,
Running VDR 2.0 and vsphere 4.1, I have a san dedicated to VDR which houses 12 1TB "SAS midline" in raid 6 configuration.
The first (and only, yet) volume given to VDR is on 2 TB (VMFS).
Used space: 548 GB
Non dedup size: 10.2 TB
VDR 2 is having 4 cores and 4G of ram. I do not see a lot of IO on the SAN while integrity checking is running, nor do I see vast amounts of CPU used.
What are some of the limiting factors (disk? cpu?) ? Should I try to divide into multiple 500G by basically dropping all data and giving VDR a couple of new 500G vmfs volumes?
All help appreciated
Yes, you have too big volume. VDR max volume size is 1TB for iSCSI and 500GB for cifs.
Used space: 548 GB, so I don't see how it's relevant..
