Hi,
I have another problem with my VDR. Because of the high number of VMs to backup, I want to use 2 appliances with two destinations on a network share. Unfortunately, I had to find out, that I only can use the administrative shares, (C$, D$ and so on) and not some specific ones, like VDR or something like this. Is these problem already known or can you give me some hints? What it does is, it creates the share, but when I want to start the integrity-check or a backup-job, it fails.
What I've already tried:
- Using the IP-Adress instead of the dns-name--> not sucessfull
- Right credentials....
- Various share names....
Thanks a lot for your replies
It definitely should be problem with rights and credentials.

Okay....it could be. Then could you please tell me the correct form of the credentials and the correct rights for it? I think, I'm just stupid....
If you're able to login to admin shares then credentials should be fine, so check access rights on share and rights to write to share.

I can confirm I also have the same results.
I started off creating a share on a Windows 2003 R2 server and setting the sharing and security for a specified user account. After reading this post I thought I would try doing the same thing as detailed in this post by using the windows admin share. It works!!!!
So..... Admin share (D$) works fine. Using a share and user account does not!!!! Can this be fixed????
