How to force a backup running task to stop?

Hi,

today I have one backup task that runs crazy, It should have been stopped during the night (it have only 3 hours of backup window), I press cancel but I only see Canceling execution... for hours. (see attached picture)

Is there any way to really finish this backup without to restart vdr machine?

Try to shutdown the Data Recovery Service.

[root@vdr ~]# service datarecovery stop

   VMware Data Recovery

      ...

what's that??  I'll wait but I don't know what's going wrong.
