The vCenter VM runs correct time. ESXi runs UTC-clock. VDR runs Amsterdam-time. Both checking and unchecking (hardware uses UTC clock) makes no difference.
There is a 2 hour off-set between the correct time (vCenter VM, all hosts on server) and the VDR VM.
This method will be using your system hardware time. Therefore make sure that NTP is turned on the host level.
Set timezone using the menu
Login using menu
Set system clock (date MMDDHHmm)
Set hardware clock to sync to system clock (/sbin/hwclock --systohc)

Are there still issues with time configuration in VDR??
I didn't use VDR for a long time. Actually I only just did some tests last year. Maybe one of the answers in http://communities.vmware.com/thread/213297 can help.
