How do I change the VDP Backup user?

Hi guys,

I was wondering , if or how I can change the VDP Backup User on my VDP Appliance. Is there a way to change the user after the installation is completed?

Or do I have to reinstall VDP to get it done properly?

You can change the user in  https://ip-adress/vdp-configure under Configuration.

"Klick to modify vCenter configuration" enter the PW of the VDP and than you can change the vCenter username.

A reboot is required after the change and an Integrity check will be performed during the reboot.

So the change will take a while...

It is reminded that the correct port number for the VDP-configure URL is 8443.

So the full URL is

https://<VDP appliance IP address>:8443/vdp-configure/

A good user account might be the VSPHERE.LOCAL\administrator user since it already has all the necessary rights and doesn't expire.
