Disaster Recovery VDP 6.0

Hi,

I need a reality check of my VDP setup.

SITE 1: VDP (A)

SITE 2: VDP (B)

I make primary backups to VDP(A). Then I use VDP replication to VDP (B) that is placed on a separate site.

If site 1 and VDP (A) crashes or is otherwise destroyed, how do I recover the replicated backups from VDP (B) and how do I test it?

Regards Marcus

A new VDP appliance can be deployed to site A, if the original is lost. Replicated backup data at site B can then be re-replicated from VDP at site B to the new VDP appliance at site A. To test this, re-replicate backup data from VDP at site B back to your existing VDP appliance at site A. After replication is complete, your should see restore points for the replicated data in the VDP appliance at site A.
