Hi,
We've been using VMWare Data Recovery (VDR) since version 1.0 and are currently using 1.2
The number of Report Items has grown to around 10k which results in slow loading. Having log information for such a long period is of no use to us.
Is there any way to clear reports items? Can it be made selectively, for example delete all events older that a certain period?
Thanks,
Dan
I have just installed 1.2 in my lab and it is possible to filter events by date criteria, then select all the events and right click delete.
Hi Dan
Please see the following post http://communities.vmware.com/thread/246994?tstart=0 this explains the method for clearing down the log files.
I don't know of a way to selectively delete log files

Hi Scott,
As your first link suggests, there was not GUI to do this before version 1.2. Glad you found it as this avoids the need of recreating the backup job.
I must have missed this new feature in the 1.2 documentation…
Thanks!
Dan
I was able to select the older jobs log entries and delete them - works great - thanks again.

No Problem Dan
Glad it helped

Is there anyway to script this so I don't have to baby sit it?
Not that I am aware of
