I found the solution :
Step
You edit Hardware on VDP and see the disk.
Disk is showing name of gust
You can delete them disk and Don't delete disk of VDP
and Save - Re-Open guest
Finish
The connection to your datastore seems to be missing. You need to fix this one first before starting the VDP appliance.
above problem i can resolve already i reboot my NAS and back to normal i think service iSCSI on NAS have trouble.
After that i try to start VDP but have the error pop up " Failed to lock the file. Cannot open the disk '/vmfs/volumes/UUID/VM_Name/VM_Name.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. "
My step
shutdown all guest to lock disk
start VDP normaly
start guest cannot same error " Failed to lock the file. Cannot open the disk '/vmfs/volumes/UUID/VM_Name/VM_Name.vmdk' or one of the snapshot disks it depends on. "
i follow step with
VMware KB: Cannot power on a virtual machine located in an NFS datastore
As mentioned in the article, you should delete the lock file. And when not in use, you should be able to start the virtual machine.
i access to folder guest and run command #ls- la but dont' have lock file:smileyblush:
Could you post a screen dump of the output. Maybe it's a hidden file use ls -lah instead.
