Can vSphere Data Protection (VDP) 5.1 deployed without a domain?

I tried to deploy VDP without domain and DNS.

I've edit host file both vcenter and vdp.

Both of them can communicate with hostname.

I stuck at the page that you have to put a domain.

Can I deploy it without domain?

I think you can. Have you tried using SYSTEM_DOMAIN that comes default with SSO?

Check page number 13 to 15 in the below link

instead of using domain name, please enter the dns suffix of the hostname. For Ex the server name is SXserver.ap123local.com Server name : SXserver Domain name : ap123.local.com if the issue occurred, could you please provide the screenshot of the error ?
