Can't quiece a VM in a time limit

This is what I get when I try to snapshot a VM using VDR. It has SQL server 2005 installed on it. So, it is a database server. Do I need to install VMware Tools with typical option again?

Have you had a look into the SQL server logs? You should be able to see an event id 3197+3198 that indicates that all I/O has been quiesced and resumes now.
