Can't backup vCenter 6.7

Hi everyone,

I am using vCenter 6.7 (VMware-vCenter-Server-Appliance-6.7.0.54000-20540798-patch-FP.iso) to be exact.
And I can't make a backup of it, I browse to https://xx.xx.xx.xx:5480 select backup, and backup now.

I enter correct details to an NFS share which I have confirmed working already on our vCenter 7.0.

When I fill in all information, path and login details to the NFS share and I press "Start" nothing happens.
It starts to load, you can see the circular loading icon next to the start button but absolutely nothing happens...
Its just endless loading until the login session timeouts, so no error message or anything. See attached

Does anyone have any idea of what the problem could be? Or how to troubleshoot this...

Thanks in advance

Do you have the same result when using a different browser or computer?

Hi,

yes, I have tried two different computers and using both firefox and google chrome.
Also the backup works fine on a vCenter 7.0 which we have...

So I don't know what could be wrong with this vCenter 6.7 as neither SMB or NFS works. SMB gives some error about location invalid or not supported or such, but the same path works find in vCenter 7.0. And when giving an NFS path the "circle" is just loading on the start button.
Ofc same NFS path works great on vCenter 7.0...

@MikaelJ,

Well, firstly please look for any error messages by connecting to the vCSA via SSH and run tail /var/log/vmware/applmgmt/backup.log. If you do not see any errors, re-initiate the backup from the VAMI portal and you should see some errors, please post them here.

If you think your queries have been answered, Mark this response as "Correct" or "Helpful" and consider giving kudos to appreciate!

Regards,
Shen

@Shen88

I did post the log output here but it seems the post for some reason was deleted.

Anyhow there are no errors in the log...
