Hi

I am looking for a Backup Solution for ESX 5.5 which can mirror the whole folder to another Disk/NAS/Storage

The Backup or replication of the VM machine is not enough, (case of VEEAM, VPROTECT)

because the folder containing the VM into the Datastore  has Snapshots i want to be able to restore

Some solution capable to mirror DATA from Source A   to Destination B with Dedup option

Backups means to preserve your files from any threat of machine breakup, theft, natural calamity or any catastrophe.So to save your files you can an consider both local backup and Internet backup. These all of backup plans like: local storage, sd card, laptop or PC can be crashed at any time and even can slow your device processing speed So you must go for VMware Backup. I suggest you the Backup which almost I prefer according to my conveniency and cost effectiveness is VMware. CloudBacko is one of the most reliable source of data backup I prefer. It is secured enough to save my confidential files.

Just curious, why do you want to preserve snapshots with your backup?

If you use array-based replication it will give you the ability to replicate the entire LUN (including the folder and all snapshots).

If you are looking for the ability to roll-back, have you looked at the Multiple Point-in-time capability with vSphere Replication?
