Backup software use with VCB

Hi,

I have two ESX 4 Enterprese server managed with Vcenter 4 standard. I have about 20 guest os.14 Windows guest and 6 linux guest.

For now, I don't have any backup software, except the windows backup tools on windows machine. Is the windows 2008 backup role service will be compatible with VCB?

If not, which backup software can I use at lost cost if possible. I will make backup on disk, probably with a VCB proxy connected to my DAS ibm3200 who's store all my VM. Lost cost means less than 5000 canadien dollars

if you are looking for a new backup, you should be aware of the following announcement of VMware Announcing End of Availability for VMware Consolidated Backup.

In my opinion the leaders in VMware backup are Vizioncore and Veam.

PHD Virtual is another backup solution to consider, the current 5.x product supports ESXi and you can backup to network storage (CIFS/NFS) as well as local attached disk.
