vSphere HA agent is unable to listen on its TCP port

Hi

I have two ESX5 hosts with HA enabeld. Last nght I got this error. All seems fine.. I am not sure what is the issues. Can anybody help me in this matter.

Subject: [VMware vCenter - Alarm alarm.HAhostStatus] vSphere HA agent for host esxi2 has an error in DR in EDC: vSphere HA agent is unable to listen on its TCP port. Refer to the availability guide to troubleshoot this problem.

Target: edc-04-esxi1

Previous Status: Green

New Status: Red

Alarm Definition:

([Event alarm expression: vSphere HA agent on a host has an error; Status = Red] OR [Event alarm expression: vSphere HA detected a network isolated host; Status = Red] OR [Event alarm expression: vSphere HA detected a network-partitioned host; Status = Red] OR [Event alarm expression: vSphere HA detected a host failure; Status = Red] OR [Event alarm expression: vSphere HA agent is healthy; Status = Green])

Event details:

vSphere HA agent for host esxi2 has an error in DR in Cluster2: vSphere HA agent is unable to listen on its TCP port. Refer to the availability guide to troubleshoot this problem.

Did you run a network scan against your host? There is a known issue with vSphere 5.0 that this can cause HA problems - it should be fixed in update 1.

Hello! I have the same problem today. Do you mean it'll be fixed in Update 2 ? I have already installed Update 1 but the problem is still exist. And I can't find any KB with description of this problem

Yes, the HA agent is pushed out by vCenter
