ft and new intel e5 processors

hi guys

i have dl380 g8 servers with esx5 u1 fully patched and need ft on this systems. the servers have a e5-2650 cpu which is officially not supported by ft. my question: why is it not supported? to new? and is it possible to get support in later release of esx5?

i tried to enable ft and it blocks to startup the vm on the secondary esx. the error message 'insufficient resources to satisfy configured failover level for vsphere.'

Right.  The processor is too new for FT support in ESX 5.0U1. VMware policy is to not comment on unannounced features, products, timelines, etc.
