fault tolerance specs for vmware esxi 5

Can someone tell me where I can find some documents to show me the support for fault tolerance in version 5?  Are we still liminted to 1vcpu?  How many virtual machines can be set to FT?

I'm starting on FT technology, where I can find docs/info about prerequisites to configure a VM using FT?

Currently I have two servers with ESXi 5.1(IBM 5200 and  HP Proilant). I saw in many forums that perhaps I will need vCenter Server to do this configuration ... but I'm not sure,

Can anyone give me a hand with this?
