When will FT support more than 1x vCPU ?

Is there any kind of roadmap or "statement of direction" available regarding the current constraints of FT ?

The most important point for us is support for more than one vCPU - What are the plans on this ?

Any hints much appriciated ... best would be an official written statement from VMWare on this.

Regards from Germany.

>We need as much performance for a multithreaded application as we can get.

Then forget about FT and protect VM by HA only.

There is not such statements or roadmaps. Sometimes.

Actually it's a really complicated technical problem to implement SMP FT.

Anton, thank you for your fast response, but what are our options, then?

We need as much performance for a multithreaded application as we can get.

We are migrating from a bunch of 6 cpu Tru64 Alpha Servers "Dual"-System Machines with hardware failover to something like 2x 4core Xeon 5560 blades with VMware and HA+FT. We need to know if there is anything in "the development pipeline" at VMware to have SMP support with FT in the near future.

Anybody else with infos for me ?
