Replace a storage with new one.

I have several LUN's from storage A，and want to be replaced by the LUN's from storage B. I know the virtual machines can be migrated by storage vMotion，but still have the following questions.

1. how to migrate the VM templates ? convert them to nornal VM's then do cold storage migration ？

2. how to migrate the ISO files in the datastore ? copy them in the esxi ssh command line ?

3. how to change the vSphere HA heartbeat datastore online ？Just change it in HA setting ?

Hi,

VM templates can be migrated by converting them into a VM and then use svMotion to move the template to the new destination. ISO Files can be copied with the datastore browser. I suggest to move the ISOs to a cheap NAS and mount the volume using NFS, instead of storing them in a VMFS datastore. The HA heartbeat datastores can be changed online. You can choose two new datastores, or you can do nothing. VMware HA will switch the heartbeat datastores if you decommission the old datastores.
