RedHat cluster over iSCSi on Vmware 4.1

Hi there

Does anyone know if it is possible to connect RedHat Cluster over 10G iscsi connection directly from server to SAN box?

I am trying to setup something like picture attached.

I know that microsoft clustering have some concerns with iscsi

http://www.vmware.com/pdf/vsphere4/r40/vsp_40_mscs.pdf

on page 13 see "vSphere MSCS Setup Limitations"
The following environments and functionality are not supported for MSCS setups with this release of vSphere:
Clustering on iSCSI, FCoE, and NFS disks.

Thanks in advance

It might work, but probably isn't supported. Contact Support for a statement around this to make sure you don't end up with an unsupported configuration.

I haven't purchased vmware yet, I am trying to find out how I can improve my environment with vmware.

So as far as I know, if I am not customer I cannot create a technical case with vmware?

I really need a certain answer on that If i can establish a direct connection server to SAN via 10G iscsi running latest RedHat.

if not I think I should go for Fibre Channel?

Thanks

You could post this presales question to your vmware sales rep and they should be able to create a sales support ticket for you.
