Orphaned host, how to remove?

Hello,

I removed an ESXi 4.0 host from a HA/DRS-cluster the other day and it disappearred from the inventory and also it doesn't show up if I run Get-VMHost from PowerCLI. But if I look in the /var/log/vmware/aam/aam_config_util_listprimaries.log file the hosts shows up as "HOSTNAME    Secondary    Node Failed"

Does anyone have an idea how I can remove the host completely?

I tried Remove-VMHost HOSTNAME from PowerCLI but then I get "Could not find VMHost with name HOSTNAME", and I've also tried running the Cli at /opt/vmware/aam/bin with the command deleteNode HOSTNAME and then I get "No Errors Reported" but the host still shows up when running listnodes.

Thanks in advance for any help.

How about reconfigure the entire HA Cluster. Just remove the tick mark allow the HA agents to get un-installed and rey to isntall it again. This might work for you

Hello.

Note: This discussion was moved from the VMware ESXi 4 community to the HA & FT community.

Good Luck!
