Fault Tolerance

Hey All

First of all im really sorry if I have posted this in the wrong place or in the wrong manner. ( I am a newbie to VMware) I am looking at turning on FT for my VM's. Am I right in saying that it is impossible to do with my current hardware?

Hello and welcome to the forums.

Note: Thread was moved from the Virtualization Technology & Industry forum to the HA & FT forum.

Check the Model/Release details tab here for that system to get the full information on FT support.

Good Luck!

looks like FT is enabled. However FT is only supported for single vCPU guests

your host is ready for FT, but you will need to take note there are certain things that FT do not support. For example 2vCPU and etc. For more info, please refer to:

Thanks for your time and effort folks. Turns out the bios needs to be update to get it working. The Site survey tool was very helpful. Many thanks to you all
