Essentials Plus and WAN support?

I plan to setup vSphere Essentials Plus with two hosts (4 VMs each), in our main office with HA setup. The third host will be in our DR site 1000 miles away (over 3MB link). I will also have a SAN setup in the main office mirrored to another SAN locally. The third SAN will be async'd overnight to the DR site. How can I sync the VM settings to the DR Host? What is the procedure for failing over to the DR site? We are a non-profit so immediate failover is not required.

The failover procedure depend on your storage system... Usually you have to stop the replica, promore the remote LUN and register the VM.

There is a product that can do all this work for you: VMware SRM (but it isn't free).

Or you can use other product like Veeam Backup or Vizioncore vReplicator.
