HA is setup on my cluster and appears to be working fine. However if I try and swtich on FT on a vm either powered on or off I get and error : Insufficient resouces to satisfy configured level for HA. Configured HA is 1 host and I have 2 available so I have plenty of resources available on the hosts. VM is only 2GB (1 processor obviously)
Any clues here would be helpful.
Thanks
JD
Hi
RAM of hosts? You have only one VM?
VCP 2/3/4
MCTS Hyper-V and SCVMM
CCA XenServer
CCA XenDesktop
RAM is 32GB per host - have a lot of VM's - but plenty of RAM and CPU left.
I have now sorted the original issue - its was to do with slot reservation - there was no default set in the advanced HA settings. Set this to 256 and it was happy (it was trying to set the max slot size as 2048mb)
Now just won't start secondary. No suitable host error message now
CPU's are compatible.
Hello.
CPU's are compatible.
What do you mean by this exactly? FT requires that the hosts have the same CPU model or family.
Good Luck!
don't set the slotsize to a fixed amount, just use the Percentage Based one and you should be fine 🙂
