vCVA "Tweaks" to make automation work out of the box

Since the vCenter Virtual Appliance already comes with all of the necessary files and services installed (but the services aren't necessarily configured if you need the VA to run DHCP for example) but you are going to have it host TFTP, there is a tweak that MUST be done on one of the files in the /tftpboot directory.

The 'tramp' file is not world readable after it is modified by the boot script and as such it is unusable by auto-deploy.  You must

chmod 604 /tftpboot/tramp

at the very least in order for the booting ESX servers to be able to find it and read it.

Any other tweaks anyone has seen?  Consolidated thread?
