Hi
I need to monitor "vm guest machine" bandwidth usage
does any body knows how to do that????
I need a command or filename inside esx that give me appropriate values.
Please help???
thank you
I would recommend a third party tool like Xangati. I know they have a free version,or a trail. This uses a net flow collector to show speed of protocols in and out of your hosts.

You can look at performance monitor of a VM.
But is only an average value (for KB) or a packets counter.

Remember also that the network data is gone if the guest vMotions from one host to another unless you have a distributed vSwitch.
you can use esxtop. http://www.yellow-bricks.com/esxtop/
good luck
