Vmware tools update file under ESX server/Virtual machine

Can any body tell me when we install Vmware tool then how many file updated and created under ESX server and Virtual machine files.

I'm not sure if I understand your question correctly, but the VMware Tools do not update anything under ESX, only the guests are affected (as the tools are installed inside the guests).

then please tell me is any new filew created under virtual machine or if existing file are updated then please tell me what are the file that are updated.

Hi, If your running under Windows then you could run a registry/file system scanner tool before the install and then after to generate a list of file/registry changes. Try something like this google search
