Hi Experts,
We are planning a View Setup without Composer/Linked Clone.
We have an option of SmartClone from LHN, that can replicate the Data volume block by block.
Now If I have 10 VMs running from a LUN, we replicate the LUN block by block & have exactly the same content without affecting the VMFS volume.
Now to run the VMs from replicated LUNs we need to automate the following
1) Change Virtual Machine's file names (vmx, vmdk )
2) Change the UUID specified in VMX file
3) Change the Hostname in Guest OS
4) Change the IP address of the VM ( using static IP addresses)
5) Join the VM to a Domain
Any help/pointers will be greatly appreciated.
