Automating changes to Virtual Guest BIOS

Hello,

I want to make a mass change to the BIOS configs to all of our virtual guests.  Currently, we have PXE as the first item in the boot order....and i want to change that.  Anybody know of any way to do that? I am assuming that there may be a way to do it using the PowerClI, but any help pointing me in the right direction would be great.

Thanks,

Hello, mjcb-

Yes, you can do this with PowerShell / PowerCLI.  We wrote about it at vNugglets.com in the post "Change VM Boot Order via PowerShell".  An important note (mentioned in that post):  once you have updated to boot order on a VM via script, it appears that the boot order can only be changed via script thereafter.

Thanks!

But I have to admit...I am no sure if I would want to do this if a script would need to be run if changes needed to be made later on.  I am going to have to think about this one.

Thanks for the link though!!!
