Issues with vRelase Network Insight

Hello All.

Network Insight has been deployed and it was working fine for almost VMs but some VMs wasn't appeared or I cannot see any result for them in network insight.

As well as, when I add a new VM, it isn't shown in network insight. so, I came up with that I removed data source "Vcenter and nsx manager" and added them again.

After that. it got worse. I cannot see or filter by VM just only by vlan.

Any suggestion please.

thanks,,,

Hello Majed,

Are you in "NSX Assessment Mode” or “Full Product Evaluation” mode?
In my experiences, data collection would take around 2 hours and to generate report you would need to wait at least 24 hours.

If you would like to review your installation process, you can check this blog post: vRealize Network Insight ( vRNI ) 3.0- How to Install & Configure - VMware Cloud Management

or the official vRealize Network Insight Installation Guide

Hi,

1. Could you check the health of your both appliances :

For instance, a simple test would be to log into your Platform and Proxy with the user "consoleuser" and password "ark1nc0ns0l3" then run the command "show-service-status".

What does that command show you on both VMs ?

2. How are the state of the data sources you added ? (vCenter + NSX Manager)

Could you check the last time data has been collected from the UI ? (In the settings, under data sources)

3. Do you have VMtools installed for your VMs ?

I would be glad to do a WebEX with you to check your deployment if needed Smiley Happy.

Regards,

Kevin
