Dear all,
I have installed one vcops5.0.3 in windows server 2008 R2 and one vcops5.0.1 in OVA import
But,I logined to web console, and find out there is different between windows base and OVA
Windows one shows "Custom UI"
OVA one shows "vSphere UI"
The content is totally different, I can't find the function that sync with vcenter in Windows one
I am thinking I might type a wrong link.
Who can tell me what is correct way to setup vcops windows base, and see the same content like OVA one.
Thanks
Rocky
In the windows base(also called Standalone) there is no separate admin app, and vsphere ui is also not available. Only Custom UI is available. http(s)://<ip> should take you to Custom UI. You can do admin tasks from Custom UI itself.
With ova you get a separate admin app, vsphere ui and custom ui.
For admin app - http(s)://<ip>/admin
For vsphere ui - http(s)://<ip>/vcops-vsphere
For custom ui - http(s)://<ip>/vcops-custom
Thanks,
Prasanna
Hi Rocky,
Those are diferent view of the vcops.
you have 3 diferent views in the vcops there are:
vsphere UI: <your IP host> -> Here you have a total view of all the environment of your registered vcenters.
Custom UI: <your IP host>/custom -> Here you see a custom view, and you can customize the vcops, make dashboards, control resources, metrics and all features.
Admin UI: <your IP host>/admin -> Here you manage the upgrades, configurations, registration and admin configurations.
I really don know what views have the windows base but in the ovf there are limited view by the licences version.
hope this work for you.
Regards,
Mauro
Hi Mauro,
Thanks for your explanation.it's really clear!!
But,my problem is that even I input https://host ip /
it always shows custom UI on windows base one
I've tried to input https://host ip/custom or https://host ip/admin
But,those addresses can't be recognized
Do you know what happen to vcops windows version????
Regards,
Rocky
