vSAN Adapter status show collection failed

Hi all,

We have a VDI environment running on two vCenter Server.

One is running as the vCenter Server Role of Horizon environment (VC1), and the other is created by VxRail Manager(VC2) which provide the vSAN datastore to VDI virtual machines.

We create a vRealize Operation Manager to collect the information of Horizon environment and vSAN datastore recently.

The vSphere adapter could collect both two vCenter server information and horizon adapter can collect the information from connection server.

However, the status of vSAN adapter shows "Collection Failed".

I tried reboot the vRealize Operation Manager Appliance, but when I saved the vSAN adapter settings, we get the below error message.

We are sure the credential of vSAN Adapter is correct and we can see the certificate information of the vCenter server.

Does anyone know how to solve the problem?

Thanks a lot!

Version:

vRealize Operation Manager 7.5

vRealize Operation Manager for Horizon 6.6.1

vCenter Server 6.5u2 (VC1)

(VxRail)
vCenter Server Appliance U2C (VC2)ESXi 6.5 EP11

Hi,

I don't think you can use the "VMware vSAN" solution here as this is a "DELL vSAN" solution. I think you need the VxRail management pack for this:

VMware Solution Exchange

1. Visualization — Creates object relationships of VxRail Clusters in context of vSAN Clusters with underlying physical infrastructure view

  • Provides ability to graphically view VxRail Cluster Status
  • Differentiated from all other vSAN Clusters

2. Metrics – Provides health status of VxRail Clusters generated based on metrics collected on the Cluster, hosts, VMs and vSAN so customers can see at a glance the status of all their clusters and drill into the details.

Hi KabirAli82,

Thanks for your reply!

I have downloaded VxRAIL Management Pack For VROPS last week.

But the technical specifications shows the pack only support to VxRail version 4.5.300 and above, I didn't try it cause the version of our VxRail is 4.5.299.Smiley Sad

This is my first time to use VxRail, I don't know the VMware vSAN Pack cannot be use to VxRail vSAN environment.

I will try it tomorrow, thanks a lot !!!!!

Hi KabirAli82,

The credential of VxRail adapter is work, but there is no data showing on the vSAN and VxRail databoard.

I think it could be the problem of unsupport version of VxRail firmware.

Thank you so much!
