vRops v8 - Reports show - The view is not applicable to the current object.

Many of the reports I'm running in vROPs 8 are showing empty output. See Attached. I have the Horizon adapter in place and its licensed. See attached.

Thoughts?

Can you provide some details of the report? On which object are you running the report?

Was I helpful? Give a kudo for appreciation!

Rick, Thanks for the question - I hadn't realized you had to be on a specific object to run certain reports. I assumed if the report was listed under the object it would pull the appropriate data. I thought this was the issue but I thought I'd tested this and had the same result but apparently that was incorrect. It sorta makes no sense that you can run Pool reports from under the Users object and receive no data. Anyways I'm still learning this product so I appreciate your question that caused me to look deeper and finding the issue - which was running the report from under the wrong object.

I'm facing the same issue on "vRealize Operations Tenant App".

Tho, there is no way on the tapp to select a specific object to run the report on because the reports are pre-uploaded on the appliance.

I've seen that i can use vrops manager reports, but i think i'm missing something. Do you have any ideas on how to solve this ?

Hi Uday,

first of all thanks for your quick reply.

Atm, i'm using versione 8.6.2, on the version link you provided the issue is reported as known and it presents a workaround:

Known Issues

  • Tenant Reports Option Missing on the Manage Pages Tab

After upgrading Tenant App from 2.5 to 8.6, the Tenant Reports option is missing on the Manage Pages tab.

Workaround: Refer to the KB article https://kb.vmware.com/s/article/88080

On the 8.6.2 the issue is not reported. I will try to work around of KB88080 even though my version is newer and see what happens.
