We have multiple vcenters in our environment. Our analysts have mentioned that the only way to get in depth vrops metrics on one of our appliances is through EPOPs.
I tried a few different avenues to get epops installed on an appliance but it keeps bringing down vcenter after every attempt (thank god for snapshots)
So my real question is: Is this the proper way to go about monitoring a vcenter 6.5 appliance or is there a better way already built into vrops?
Installing the EpOps agent on vCenter is not supported. As of 6.5, the supported method to monitoring vCenter is via the SDDC Health management pack.
