vROPS to multiple vCenter

Hi,

Can we connect single multiple vCenter with single vROPS?

How vrops licnesing can be done? Is it per cpu, per VM or per physical server monitored?

Do we need to put vcenter in hybrid linked mode?

Hi PK,

Not completely sure I get your a question. I vROPs you define "Solutions" that can be anything from 1 vCenter to multiple vCenters.

You can connect multiple vCenter servers to a single vROps instance.

There are two methods of licensing vROps: per processor with unlimited VMs or per virtual machine or physical server monitored.

You can use license groups in vROps to associated a collection of resources with that particular license (group).

Hi,

Is it necessary to deploy all 3 vrops nodes ( Master, Maser node and Data node)?

Is there any need to deploy data collector node? Do we also need to deploy log insight?

That depends on the infrastructure you want to monitor. For small environments 1 vROPs deployment (Master) is sufficient.

Hi Kabir,

I need to understand is there any tool from where we can check how many nodes required based on customer infrastructure. Its a new vrops deployment.

Moreover, I believe data collector node is just to minimize the load from Master node and functions as only to collect data and pass it to Master.

I also need to know how all these nodes are interconnected?

During the installation of vROPs you select the size required.
