vCOPS and hardware monitoring

Hi guys,

A quick question about vCOPS and hardware monitoring.

A customer of mine wants to monitor their hardware through vCOPS i.e. UPS, routers, switches etc. Is vCOPS capable of doing this? If so, how? Can you build a custom dashboard and display the status of these devices?

Sure you can do this via the vC Ops SNMP adapter (not to be mistaken for the outbound snmp alerting). I would personally aggregate monitoring at Hyperic or the like, then pull it in to vC Ops using the Hyperic MP.
