VM hostname not populating in vCops 5.6 - only shows vCD VM-GUID

All  Apparently, we were able to get the VM host name from vCops on version 5.x.  But on 5.6, vCops doesn't show the host name but rather the vCD GUID.  Has anyone dealt with this issue - and how did you get around it?
Please let me know if more info is needed to understand the problem.
TIA -
-------
Is there a way to get hostname populated inside vcops.
In Vcops we are able to see VM name associated but not hostname.
We are creating an application based on VMname and I am not sure if the message (bus) will contain guid .
Without the guid vcops does not recognize the VM.
Thanks

You will want to install and configure the vCD adapter - that will map vCD entities to vCenter and you can then use the custom UI for presentation.
