'Suspended VM' Metric

There doesn't seem to be a metric for 'suspended VMs'. vROps includes them in the "powered off" VM total for some reason. If I search for a suspended VM in vROps it will show that its state is 'suspended' on the summary page.

Does anyone have any tips to get around this so we can track the number of suspended VMs we have (this is for our Horizon VDI clusters)

Hi,

There is a metric which returns power state, for example Powered ON, Powered Off and Suspended. Look for virtual machine metric Power State.

If the virtual machine is showing suspended in vCenter and vROPS:

vCenter:

vROPS:

Go to Metrics > Properties > Runtime > Power State.
