Super Metric for Horizon View Available Desktops Resource Consumption

vROPS 6.6.1.6163035

VMware Horizon Solution 6.5.1.7363818 for vROPS

Horizon with View 7.5.0 Build 8583568

Looking for a way to have vROPS provide aggregate measurements on resource (CPU and Memory) consumption by all View linked clones that are in an "Available" state.

Said in another way, we want to know the price of keeping spares on our vSphere cluster.

I'm thinking I need to create a Super Metric, but I'm open to all ideas.

I'm looking to do a supermetric along the same lines. I want to do a calculation for sessions per physical core at SLA. This one should be pretty easy and Ill follow up. POD Connected Sessions / CPU|Number of Physical CPUs

This will allow me to know how many sessions I have created max and does that exceed the maximum CPU of the host cluster. Ill circle back.

You might be able to take a canned dashboard and adjust the metric for "Average COU" filtered by "State - Active Sessions".
