Registering to vCenter

I have run into a snag with the installation of vCenter Operations Manager 5.8.2 with vCenter Server 5.5u1.

During the initial vApp install receiving the following error message during the registration process to vCenter:

"Unable to connect to vCenter Server. Details: Connecting to VC at https://xxx001@xxx.com/sdk//xxx001@xxx.com/sdk failed."

When attempting to connect a browser to https://xxx001@xxx.com/sdk//xxx001@xxx.com/sdk , I receive a Website Security Certificate warning, then click to Continue to website, and presented with Webpage not found.

I am not sure what changed in our network, but the problem has gone away. Thanks for the tip.
