Migrating configuration from vROPs 6.7 to vROPs 8.2

Hi,

We have an existing vROPs 6.7 (Master, 1 Replica & 1 Data Node) in our environment. When trying to upgrade it to 7.5, it takes too long (more than 8-10 hours) because of the database being too big in size. This vROPs has more than 8 vCenters configured in it.

Now I have deployed a fresh vROPS 8.2 and have to move all data from the old one to this one.

I want to know :

1. If I can configure all the same solutions (vCenter, vSAN, SRM, vRA, etc.) into the new vROPs without removing them from the old vROPs. Want to decommission the old vROPs when it is confirmed that the new one is up and working with all configurations from the old one.

2. Is there a way to transfer/export all the configuration from the old vROPs (6.7) to the new one (8.2) instead of manually configuring everything.

In the new vROPs you would configure it with all the latest versions of that adapter.

For moving things over here are three ways to do it.  Using Content Manager is not an option since your old vROPs it too old.

Thank you so much for this.

The 3rd option only seems the ways around but still needs a lot of manual work.
