we had to reboot a host last night that had vcops on it. Does it queue emails it would have sent: I don't think I should have gotten any but don't know. Or does it just pick up where it would when it comes back online.
If vC Ops is down, it can't get any new data to process, therefore there are no new email to queue. However, when vC Ops comes back online, it'll do a data collection and alert off that collected data.. for example a host loses storage and vC Ops comes back up on another host.. vC Ops will pick up that host event on the next data collections and kick off a Fault alarm type.
If there was a blip in the vC Ops services, you may get an administrative system alarm but if it's a complete reboot it may not generate an alarm.
