Error 503 in Custom UI

Hi

I have vApp OPs 5.0.1 . after viewing emailFilter.xml and quiting from this file. I can not log in  to Custom UI with out any problem with vsphere UI.WHY?

error:

The web server is not yet available. You will be re-directed when service is available.

Are you sure you did not corrupt the file? A faulty xml file can bring the Custom UI down. If you did do any changes have you tried to replace it with the backup file you created before editing?

Have you tried restarting the server via the admin UI?

Thanks alot . I restart service and have solved my problem.

just a question about emailFilter.XML . for setting email notification I  just should  change this XML file for myself  enviroment?? of course I have a back up from That.

Hi,

yes that file needs to be changed by yourself. I would always suggest to do that offline, so that you have a good copy, because also updates etc. might overwrite the emailFilter.xml file.

It is somehow good explained in the Custom UI Admin Guide.
