Does vCops Maintenance Mode automatically apply to child resources?

If I wanted to put my whole vCops environment into Maintenance mode,  could I just apply MM to the World object and expect it to propogate down to all resources?

I am not sure what you mean?   When you manually place an object in MM it should stay in MM until you take it out:

Here are the steps to do a manual MM:

• From Custom UI,  hover over ENVIRONMENT and click on ENVIRONMENT OVERVIEW
• Choose an object or multiple objects via multi select in the right pane
• Click on the Start Maintenance button
• Fill out the Start Maintenance as appropriate and click OK to save

That would be nice, but if I put an application in maintenance mode, the tiers and resources in it do not go into maintenace mode as well.
