Constantly getting script errors in VCOPS

This issue is really bugging me and making VCOPS practically useless.

I am constantly getting script errors when in VCOPS now. They appear to be js errors....

After clicking yes, the right pane is none responsive and does not have details fully loaded.

Anyone else seeing this?

Thanks

- typing just http://<IP> should redirect you to vsphere-ui;

or

- just type : http://<IP>/vcops-vsphere

or

- if you also have the license for custom_ui, use  : http://<IP>/vsphere-custom

Have you tried restarting the vApp or running vcops-admin status from the UI VM console?

yes, none of these have resolved the issue.  It only happens when I go into the Operations tab

Try a different browser?  Chrome seems to be the best in my experience (not generally, just with vC Ops I mean).

Sorry for the obvious, kind of scratching my head over this.

Even though Chrome is the default browser, vCenter client will use IE if you're trying to view vC Ops via vCenter client.

Recommend you try connecting directly to your vC Ops UI VM with Chrome to test.

I get this error too. highly annoying. I have had on 502 and my new 56 vapp. didnt have it on my 101 release though. This companies corp standard is IE8 and so very little choice for browser. Did launch from Chrome and couldnt view a audit report in Chrome, so that seems to have issues for me too, but the script is the worst. I dont even know if support can resolve htis, as I tend to thinks its my workstations not vcops issues.

Installing Chrome won't replace the rendering engine which is used from within Vi-client. It is still the IE which you have installed :smileyplain:

Using IE directly (outside vi-client) works *better*, and using IE9  over IE8 is *even better* (in terms of speed and reliability).

But the recommendation is to use Firefox or Chrome browsers and login directly to the UI (e.g. not thru vi-client).
Yo won't have any script issues or similar problems in that case.

Thanks for this information.  How do I access the Dashboard through a browser??
I am only aware of access through the VI Client Plugin

If I go to my UI VM Ipaddress/admin it only shows me Administrative tasks. not the dashboard....

well that seems to solve the issue.  I will be using FF from now on and surprisingly Safari works pretty nice too.  Just what IS IE7,8 or 9 good for anyway?

Thanks for the assist
