CPU capacity remaining lowers in a scenario with more host memory. Why?

Hi,

I recently demoed vCOps for a customer, and to demonstrate the Planning module i ran a "What if"-scenario on Virtual Machine Capacity, adding memory to all hosts to compensate for the current "lack" of resources.

But as you can see, the Host CPU resource has a lower capacity with more memory.

Please, can somebody explain this?

Isn't that vCOPS telling you that 39 more machines can be deployed after hardware change?

Hi Abhilash,

No, it shows Capacity Remaining, comparing the two scenarios.

Actual, with 4 hosts at 128GB each,

and scenario with 4 hosts at 192GB each.
