Analysis in OPs

Hi

I am working OPs  5.0.1  . In  a short time worked with OPs 5.6  be familiar some analysis such as : if demand>usage I should check Contention by using heatMap and so on... futher more I get All Of the counters in Esxi.

My Problem : most of metrics that are in  the Anomaly badge  did not   member of those counters (such as CPU Usage:Overlap and so on) futher more I want to be expert in troubleshooting in infrastructure

what do I do??

In CustoM UI I created some dashboard but not sure be good   some of itself template in OPs was good but is not enough!!

Hi Sorina,

I'm very new to VMware but I can have few recommendations for you. As you know, all metrics in vCOps come from the vCenter. So you can take a look at this. There are some key metrics and troubleshooting in this guide.

After looking at this, you can create Heat Maps, Health-Workload Scoreboard and Top-N Utilization dashboards for troubleshooting. I think this will lead you to decide which metrics are important for you.

As I have pointed in last post My Problem is many metrics that is not in vcenter metrics such as CPU Usage:Overlap and so on.In  My opinion a Complete Guide from VMware Team is necessary for troubleshooting Infrastructure.  Graphs and HeatMap is not clear for  troubleshooting. I dont Know how to be Expert in OPs:smileycry:

How about Graphs in All metric? Is there any analysis document! for example when command letency and kernel latency is showed in a period of time  how to judge about infrastructure such as Storage or device or Datastore!!
