We have an existing vROps deployment that is pulling data in from multiple vCenters. We would like to deploy a remote collector for some of these existing vCenters in order to streamline traffic. Will the metrics we have already collected at these remote sites be retained and automatically matched\switched over to the new ARC? Hopefully this is the case. My concern is we may have duplicate metrics for each VM, or an 'old' VM and a 'new' VM.
I haven't found a process anywhere to do this switch over cleanly, from vROps itself collecting the metrics to moving to and ARC.
